Musical Theater dance

Dancers learn various styles of theatrical dance with a focus on different aspects of Jazz technique.  Tap, Folk, and Social dance are also incorporated to round out students' movement vocabularies while acting and singing exercises help dancers develop holistic interpretations of classic musical theater repertoire.

Ballet

Level I, II, III:
The same principles as in the Pre-Ballet division are applied to the Level divisions, however, a more advanced approach is presented. The basic principles of movement and muscular technique are now introduced. A strong emphasis is placed on correct alignment, thus preventing injuries.

Level IV & V:
In the Level IV and V divisions, class training becomes more serious and students attend multiple classes per week. The elements of Russian (Vaganova), Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Italian (Cechetti) training are now introduced. These levels are designed to increase the student’s technical proficiency while developing artistic awareness. Pointe instruction will begin in Level IV, provided the student has the muscularity and technical strength.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Students learn flexibility, agility, and expression through lyrical and contemporary technique.  Emphasis is placed on story-telling through a variety of choreographic styles in beginning through advanced levels.

Pre-Ballet:
The Pre-Ballet division carefully nurtures and encourages each child, giving him/her the opportunity to experience a wide variety and range of movements structured to develop rhythm, balance and coordination while using their bodies expressively.

Level: VI
Dancers who have successfully completed their training in the previous division levels through technical ability and dedication, qualify for Level VI classes.

Adults:
Classes are available for adults at all levels of advancement in all dance styles.

The Beginning Adult class starts with the very basics.  No experience needed.  So, if you've never taken ballet or only had a few classes when you were little, this one is for you!
